Route Sync Module
The built-in Route Sync module manages the synchronization of data from the client and server. You use this module in conjunction with the Akula persistence mechanism to synchronize data between the client and the server and to handle synchronization errors.
The Route Sync module performs the following operations:
- Handles the sync data sent up from the client. The module is responsible for sending modified and new data objects to the back end data store, and for resolving any conflicts caused by multiple clients updating the same data.
- Returns a response object to the client that contains updates to the previously downloaded data. This response is handled automatically by the client to update the data in the persistent data store. If there are no data updates sent up from the client, the client still receives a response containing the server updates.
- Reports any errors that sync operations might have encountered on the server. These errors are passed back to the client in the response for the client to handle.
- Supports full and incremental synchronization.
