Configuring the Client Development Environment

Before you can begin to develop a client app with the Akula SDKs, you must first configure your development environment.

For Android and iOS client apps, Akula includes two client libraries: encrypted and unencrypted. Use the encrypted client library to encrypt persistent data stored on the client. For more information, see Encrypting Data in the Persistent Data Store.

The JavaScript client does not support encrypting persistent data.

This section describes how to configure your development environment, and contains the following sections:

  • Configuring an Android Development Environment
  • Configuring an iOS Development Environment
  • Configuring a JavaScript Development Environment
  • Configuring a Cordova Development Environment

For information on the system requirements for the Akula Server, see Akula System Requirements.
